Characteristics and description of the tomato variety Marissa

Description of the variety
Tomato Marissa has the designation F1, which indicates its hybrid origin and the impossibility of obtaining seeds from a grown plant: in the second generation, splitting of traits occurs, plants with completely different characteristics appear. Due to their hybridity, tomato varieties have unique properties that make them valuable for cultivation.
The Marissa tomato plant is tall, with medium foliage and a well-developed root system. The plant is recommended to be tied up and pinned. Early ripe tomatoes - 70 - 75 days pass from the moment of seed germination to the first harvest.
The Marissa variety is suitable for growing outdoors in regions with relatively warm summers: South of Russia, Ukraine, Moldova. In colder areas, it is preferable to grow the variety in a greenhouse.
The use of heated glass greenhouses allows you to extend the fruiting period of this tomato variety or to get earlier seedlings.
Fruits of tomato Marissa F1 are located on a brush in 3 - 5 pieces freely. The shape of the tomato is round, slightly flattened at the bottom. Average weight 150 - 170 grams, the color in the ripening stage is red. Inside the fruit there are 4 - 6 chambers with dense fleshy walls, between which there are seeds and juice. Up to 4.5 kilograms of harvest can be harvested from one tomato bush.

Seeds of the variety are sown in warm prepared soil (peat-sand compost) and embedded at a shallow depth, watered with settled water.Then the box must be covered with foil and left in a warm place. After a few days, the first shoots appear, then the film can be removed and the plants exposed to sunlight, but not to allow direct sunlight.
After a couple of weeks, the seedlings are transplanted and dived. It is important during the period of growing seedlings to provide it with good illumination by rearranging and turning the boxes.
Before planting in the open ground, tomatoes begin to harden, gradually reducing the temperature. This can be done by placing plants in a greenhouse or putting boxes outside, but it is important to avoid hypothermia.
Planting of plants of the Marissa variety is carried out in disinfected fertilized soil so that the stem is not covered. Good predecessors for tomatoes are cucumbers, cauliflower, zucchini, dill, carrots, parsley, which do not suffer from tomato diseases. It is necessary to water the plant regularly, in small portions, drip irrigation is ideal. In the process of irrigation, the content of nutrient components of the soil is greatly reduced, so they must be applied periodically.
Top dressing of plants of the variety is carried out several times during the summer: during soil preparation, then during flowering and always during fruiting. The main consumed elements are phosphorus, nitrogen and potassium, trace elements are also necessary, therefore it is better to use complex fertilizers. Do not forget about organic matter, which is introduced into the soil even before planting.
Another important component of tomato care is fluffing, which is recommended every two to three weeks. Pushing will enrich the soil with oxygen and eliminate moisture stagnation, which is harmful to tomatoes.
