Description of the Aidar tomato variety, its characteristics and taste
For those who love unusual and tasty tomatoes, the French breeding company "Klose" has prepared a novelty - tomato Aydar f1. This unusual shaped tomato will look great fresh on the table and rolled up in jars. What are its characteristics and in what conditions the hybrid gives the best result, we will consider below.
What qualities does Aydar tomato have?
This variety has many qualities that are worth our attention:
- High yield - the weight of one brush is more than a kilogram, and 3 or 4 brushes come out of one bush.
- The bushes are powerful, strongly leafy, so they do not break under the weight of clusters of tomatoes.
- Early ripening when grown in a polycarbonate greenhouse, in May the bush gives its first fruits.
- Description of the tomato - the original shape: pepper-shaped, elongated, this is rarely seen.
- Excellent taste and aroma - sweet, acid-free tomato taste, pleasant, aromatic smell.
- Resistance to almost all diseases that plague tomato bushes throughout their growth.
- Excellent commercial qualities - tomatoes are stored for a long time subject to temperature and humidity conditions.
- Transportable - during long-term transportation, they do not lose their appearance and taste, therefore they are grown in factories.
As you can see, the Aydar tomato has solid positive qualities. To grow them on your site, you need to carefully study the characteristics of the bush and the growing conditions.
Characteristics of the bush and tomatoes
The bush is tall, indeterminate, with 3-4 ovaries with fruits. Grown mainly indoors due to the high growth of plants. The fruits on the bush ripen together, starting from the tops. Therefore, tomatoes lack a green spot at the stalk. For better maturation, remove the lower leaves, leaving one under the lower bunch. The tomatoes are large - one fruit weighs 140–160 grams, while the bush is simply strewn with peppery fruits. From sowing seeds to harvesting, 75 days pass.
The taste is excellent, fleshy, dense, with a tomato aroma, so the variety is popular among large producers of fruit and vegetable products. It is used universally - used for canning, making sauces, juices, fresh. They are better preserved with the stalk, so the fruits are harvested not one by one, but in bunches. Wash only before eating, otherwise they may rot.
Tomato reviews
Those who have already tried to grow this variety on their plots leave positive reviews about the tomato.
Marina from Ukraine, a private gardener, writes: “Last year I planted Aydar tomatoes in the garden, at first I thought that they would not have time to ripen.But then I saw how they together, literally in a couple of weeks, all poured and blushed. The hybrid did not get sick during the entire growth period, all the fruits, as one, are beautiful. You just have to grow it in a greenhouse and tie it to the crossbar. "
How to grow Aydar?
Growing a tomato consists in the following manipulations:
- soil preparation;
- fertilizer;
- growing seedlings;
- plant care;
- harvesting.
Before planting seedlings, prepare the soil for growing. Organic fertilizers are added to the ground and cultivated. During the growth of seedlings, the garden is left to rest.
If fertilizers are applied in the fall, then in the spring the beds are only cultivated.
Seedlings begin to grow in March, sowing seeds in fertile soil, and covering with a film for germination. The container with seeds is placed in a warm place for subsequent growth. When the plants hatch, the film is removed and grown until two permanent leaves appear. Two weeks after sowing the seeds, the soil is fertilized.
When forming two sheets, the seedlings are dived with a patch of soil into separate containers. So the seedlings are waiting for a transplant in a greenhouse or garden bed.
Plants should be planted in a greenhouse at an air temperature of 22 degrees - this happens in early May, they are planted on open beds in late May and early June, when the average daily temperature is also 22 degrees.
Aidar f1 tomato care is carried out in the same way as when growing other tomatoes.
Last year I tried to plant this variety for the first time - a couple of bushes. It turned out to be very convenient for canning due to the shape of the fruit. This year I use a growth activator with this variety BioGrow - I used to use it on other varieties, now I want more yield from this.
