Benefits and composition of Purine for pigs, how to give it and shelf life
When engaged in animal husbandry, it is important to follow the general rules of maintenance and care. One of the main items is feeding. The pigs' diet should contain both natural ingredients and specialized feeds that have a beneficial effect on growth and development, as well as strengthen immunity. One of the most useful and balanced feeds for pigs is Purina. Let's consider what features are typical for it and get acquainted with the recommendations for use.
Series advantages
Purina pig feed is chosen by domestic and foreign farmers interested in a profitable business in the field of agricultural technology. There are two groups of "Purina" products. BMVD stands for protein-mineral-vitamin supplements. The purpose of such nutritional mixtures is to normalize the nutritional ration of pigs and increase their physiological properties. BMVK is a protein-mineral-vitamin concentrate that provides livestock ration with a complex of the most essential substances.
Among the advantages of the feed series:
- product development by leading specialists;
- high-tech production with control over every stage;
- absence of harmful hormones, antibiotic substances and components that stabilize growth;
- increasing livestock productivity;
- the content of enzymes and components to speed up metabolism and strengthen immunity;
- three forms of release - powder mixture, granules and briquettes.
Composition and properties
The composition of "Purina" feeds from the BMVD and BMVK categories is similar, but the second version contains more special components.
The main structure of BMVD feed is represented by the following components:
- Vitamins A, B, D, E, K.
- Cereals (contain 38% protein, 7% fiber and 4% fat).
- Vegetable oils.
- Oilcake and meal.
- Minerals.
- Antioxidants
- Amino acids.
- Mineral fatty acids.
Purina concentrates, in addition to the above ingredients, contain:
- Probiotics.
- Flour made from minced fish bones and limestone.
- Substances that adsorb mycotoxins.
The balanced composition of Purina pig feed saturates the body with fiber, proteins and dietary fiber. The combination of these components guarantees full development and good health.
Varieties of feed "Purina"
All feeds produced by the Purina brand are divided into three groups depending on the age category:
- "Prestarter" - for suckling pigs, the age of which does not exceed forty-six days.
- "Starter" - feed for pigs aged forty-six to eighty days.
- "Fattening" - for pigs of mature age from eighty to one hundred and eighty days.
Standard packages have five, ten, twenty five and forty kilograms.
Application rules
For each type of feed, individual application rules apply. For feeding pigs that have not fully formed the digestive system, we use Prestarter feed, produced in granules. This complementary food is recommended to be introduced on the third to seventh day from the moment of birth. For better assimilation, you should first soften the granules in water heated to 60 degrees Celsius.
The initial portions should be given to the piglets every two to three hours, and then gradually increase the frequency of feeding. For 1 kg of the basic ration 20 kg of "Prestarter" is added.
Food "Starter", which accelerates body weight growth and activates metabolism, can be given without dilution with water. However, at the same time, animals must have constant access to clean drinking water. It is used for young pigs weighing from 10 kg. At the initial stages, this feed should be mixed with Prestarter for 2-3 days. So animals will be able to adapt faster. The proportion of Starter feed should be 25% of the basic ration.
Fattening is recommended at the initial stage to be combined with other products of "Purina" in equal proportions. You should also be aware of the three main feeding techniques:
- Meat - a method for obtaining lean and tender meat with a weight exceeding 100 kg.
- Bacon - for obtaining juicy, aromatic meat with a fat layer and a spicy taste.
- Fattening to fatty condition - this method is used to obtain a product consisting of meat up to 45% and fat up to 50%.
Storage period
The storage period is 6 months from the date of manufacture. It must be stored in original packaging in a dry place protected from sunlight. Purina is a universal feed for pigs and other animals. When choosing a suitable variety, you need to take into account the age and condition of the animal. The product will ensure proper development and high immunity.
