Golden domes - the largest-fruited tomato in the "dome" row. It stands out in a light orange color, a slightly more flattened shape. It tastes sweeter than hybrids, soft and less mellow, but sugary. Another advantage of the variety over hybrids is that the best fruits can be left for seeds.

Tomatoes Golden domes are the result of the painstaking work of the experienced Siberian scientist-breeder V.N. Dederko. The researcher created this tomato variety together with his colleagues - S. V. Ugarova and T. N. Postnikova.
The tomato has passed many years of testing for genetic resistance, in 2005 it was entered in the State Register, received a patent as an outstanding breeding achievement. The collective of Siberian breeders closely cooperates with the Novosibirsk agricultural firm "Siberian Garden", which carries out wholesale and retail sales of seeds, guarantees author's control. Other seed companies also pack up Golden Domes.
The notorious "Siberian character" is manifested in high adaptability. This allows you to grow similar varieties in many regions of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Northern Kazakhstan.
Moreover, numerous reviews of the Golden Dome tomato indicate that the variety manifests itself even better in the open field than in the greenhouse. This is confirmed by both the authors and the description of the variety in the State Register.

Size range
The Golden Domes variety is famous for the size of its fruits. The average weight for all collections is almost half a kilogram. It is important that the tomatoes do not become too shallow, even in the uppermost brushes, gaining 200 grams. The first inflorescences are poured by giants of 700 - 800 grams.
As a rule, each brush carries an average of 5 ovaries. The yield declared in the State Register is at least a bucket per square meter of plantings. Experienced tomato growers collect more.For example, Oksana Viktorovna Petukhova from the Moscow Region grew two roots in one hole, and each hole brought 6-7 kilograms of large tomatoes.
The form
There are two types of tomatoes on one plant of the Golden Domes. The very first, the largest, as a rule, are rounded, flattened above and below, moderately ribbed from the peduncle. Subsequent ones have the shape of a dome or heart.
Ugly fruits are very rare, most are even, beautiful, attractive presentation. Irregular, gnarled ovaries sometimes develop in greenhouses and in extreme heat. The variety is not in vain recommended mainly for open ground, since it is adapted to a cool temperature regime.
Coloration
Unripe tomatoes have a dark green spot on top, which gradually disappears as they ripen. The skin acquires a golden sheen and a special color - first yellow, then light orange. Within one brush, the fruits are colored not all at once, but alternately. Harvested unripe, they ripen well in prone.
Dietary pulp
On the cut, the moist pulp resembles light honey in consistency and color. Description of taste sensations is varied.
Some talk about honey sweetness, mention a fruity or grape note, others feel a slight sourness and citrus aroma, and for some, the Golden Domes are a little bland.
Density is also characterized in different ways: from fleshy to starchy and loose, but it is not too watery. Obviously, plants planted in different climatic conditions show a unique, complex range of tastes. The seed chambers are always small, there are not too many seeds.
We can say with confidence that the variety does not have high acidity, therefore, it is suitable for dietary nutrition. In addition to the traditional tomato lycopene, orange tomatoes store a lot of carotene.

Using
Golden domes are especially good in fresh salads. Tomatoes are not stored for a long time, but, moderately juicy and dense, they perfectly manifest themselves in such preparations as ketchup, lecho, adjika. The juice turns out to be thick - it resembles a fruit juice with pulp. Sterilized salads from layers of different colors look original. For those who practice the old barrel salting, the large size of the fruit is not a hindrance.
Timing
"Siberian blood" makes itself felt with an extraordinary early maturity for the "giant". Producers and the State Register evaluate the variety as mid-season. However, many amateur vegetable growers would classify it as medium early.
The crop begins to ripen in the open field 110 - 115 days after germination. The one who planted this variety notes a pleasant feature: the growth of fruits occurs in leaps and bounds, very quickly. Tomatoes ripen gradually, however, providing long lasting returns.
The first ovaries are formed in the axil of the 8th leaflet. Then they are located quite often - through one or two leaves, which guarantees a high yield.
Unpretentious bushes
A valuable quality of the variety is the optimal height of the bush. The tomato is not so tall as to be difficult to maintain, and not so low as to be of low yield. In the open field, the stems grow no higher than a meter, more often even a little lower. They can be easily tied to pegs or small trellises.
In the greenhouse, the bushes grow up to one and a half meters. There is some violence against the primordial genetics of a strain that is determinant in nature. At a certain moment, having formed several brushes, the stem stops growing by itself, and bends - both in a closed ground and in the open air. This quality is very convenient for vegetable growers.
The leaf apparatus is not too large, slightly drooping.Bushes, ovaries are perfectly visible, absorb sunlight optimally, and are well ventilated. All this makes it easier to care for plants.
Subtleties of agricultural technology
The characteristic of a variety as unpretentious does not mean at all that you can ignore elementary rules and be lazy. Those who planted Golden Domes know that this variety is very responsive to the increased attention to it.
Sowing seedlings should not be too early. Overgrown seedlings lose the first brush, take longer to take root. The optimum age of young plants when transplanted to a permanent place is 50 days.
The regular pinching procedure is required. The bush is allowed into two stems. Sometimes the trunks bifurcate themselves, suggesting the best shape to the owner.
Interruptions in the supply of food and moisture lead to inadequate fruit filling, cracking. Regular, moderate feeding and watering, mulching are important components of proper care.
Preventive measures are needed to prevent fungal infections.
