Growing recommendations
The Logane variety prefers a seedling planting method. Preparatory work begins 30-40 days before the expected sowing date. Experienced vegetable growers plant tomato seeds for seedlings in mid to late March. To obtain healthy seedlings, a number of rules should be followed:
- seeds do not require pre-treatment;
- planting depth 1.5-2 cm;
- the distance between landings is at least 1 cm;
- after sowing, moisten the soil with a spray bottle;
- after sowing, the container is covered with a film to create a greenhouse effect;
- keep the room temperature at least 22 degrees;
- after the sprouts appear, the film should be removed;
- make regular watering;
- provide tomato bushes with a constant light source, if necessary, purchase fluorescent lamps;
- dive seedlings after the appearance of 1-2 true leaves.
IMPORTANT! The bush should not be fertilized before picking.
Before planting tomatoes in the ground, it is advised to harden, reduce the temperature in the room to 15-17 degrees, or take the seedlings outside. The recommended hardening time is 7-10 days before the expected date of planting in the ground or greenhouse. The tomato is not whimsical and does not require special care. The plant does well in small greenhouses and does not require tying or supporting. To get the best harvest you should:
- watering with warm water in the evening or morning;
- loosen and weed the soil regularly;
- feeding tomato, at least four times during the summer season.
Gardeners harvest the ripe berries of the Logane tomatoes 2 months after planting the seedlings.
