The description of the variety can begin with the fact that this variety of tomatoes belongs to the early maturing varieties. Within 100 days, after the shoots have appeared, the first harvest can be expected. If the farmer observes the necessary conditions for growing the plant, then from each square meter it is possible to collect up to 12 kg of fruits.
This variety was bred by Dutch breeders. It was specially developed to be able to plant in regions with moderate climatic conditions. The tomato bush of this variety is not large, with a minimum number of leaves. The leaves are small in size, with a pleasant light green tint. On each brush, an average of 4-6 tomatoes develop.

Growing rules
Tarpan tomatoes do not require special care when growing.They need the basic requirements that are inherent in most common varieties and growing will not cause difficulties both for those who have been planting such vegetables for many years, and for novice gardeners.
Like most early varieties, seeds are sown in containers in early March. These tomatoes do not require soil disinfection and the use of special preparations to stimulate growth. The soil into which the seeds are sown should consist of the same amount of garden soil and rotted humus. Garden land can be replaced with turf soil.
After the seeds are placed in containers with soil, light watering and covering with foil is carried out to ensure moisture retention. Having provided the air temperature in the room with the sown seeds at +23 degrees, the first entrances can be expected soon. The emerging plants must be installed in such a way that sunlight falls on the containers. A spray bottle is used for watering young tomato sprouts. This way, the water won't damage the delicate plants.
The dive is carried out after 2 true leaves appear on most plants. The picking of the grown seedlings consists in transplanting the plants removed from the soil into other containers. Moreover, each plant can be placed in a separate pot. For this, peat cups sold by special stores are successfully used. After the dive of the seedlings, their first feeding is carried out.
Planting seedlings
The time of planting seedlings in open ground is primarily influenced by weather conditions. Consideration should be given to the possibility of recurring frosts and soil temperature in the region.
Although the size of the bushes is small, it is not recommended to thicken the planting of tomatoes. Water the tomatoes with water warmed up under the sun. Abundant watering should not be carried out. It is better to do this more often, but in moderation. After watering, the next day, the soil around the bushes is loosened. This ensures that the roots retain moisture for a longer time. To increase yields, tomatoes are fed three times per season.
Tomato pests and typical diseases
"Tarpan f1" is resistant to typical diseases of the nightshade, but still, preventive measures should be taken to grow them and wait for the harvest. So, when planting seeds, the soil is disinfected with hydrogen peroxide or a solution of copper sulfate. This will help prevent Fusarium infestation. Tomatoes planted in the ground, before the appearance of the ovary, is recommended to be treated with agents with antifungal action, as well as antiviral drugs.
If the plants are affected by late blight, then in this case they are treated with preparations containing copper.
Tomato bushes and their fruits can be affected by such garden pests:
- slugs;
- aphid;
- spider mite;
- Colorado beetles.
If not taken appropriate measures, these insects can completely deprive the farmer of the tomato crop.
Note! When fruits or ovaries appear, it is contraindicated to treat tomato bushes with pesticides.
To get rid of aphids, the bushes should be sprayed with soapy water, Slugs are removed manually. You can get rid of Colorado beetles if you remove the eggs that the female insect has planted on the leaf in time, or use special preparations.
