How to feed an Indook at home for fast growth

The food of the mute, or Indo-duck, is distinguished by a high content of greenery. Birds can be released to graze in summer and save on feed. High-protein cereal mixes are added to the ducks' diet to gain weight. But grass and cereals are not all that can be fed to Indo-girls at home, because they need vitamins and minerals from an early age to grow quickly.

Fundamental rules

The diet of muscovy ducks includes two types of food:

  • grains and herbs with vitamin supplements;
  • compound feed.

Main components of grain feed:

  • barley;
  • wheat;
  • oats;
  • corn.

Premixes are added to cereals - ready-made vitamin complexes, as well as legumes. Peas and lupine contain the protein needed for weight gain. Premixes promote the growth and high egg production of Indo-Ducks. The immunity of young and sick birds is maintained with the help of soluble vitamins, which are added to drinking water.

To saturate the body with calcium and form eggshells, indows need flour from fish bones and meat and bone waste of cattle, dairy products.

Compound feed for fattening consists of 15-18 percent protein and contains the necessary grain base and vitamin supplements. After 8-12 weeks of intensive feeding, the birds are ready for slaughter. How to feed an Indo-dog properly:

  • choose a balanced diet high in protein;
  • give a lot of water;
  • feed three times a day;
  • add fresh herbs to grain and mixed feed.

In the wild, ducks feed on greens. 10 percent of the poultry diet should also be grasses. Ducks need crushed shell rock to digest coarse plant fibers.

The main nutritional requirement is a high content of protein, calcium, phosphorus and sodium.

SecondCorn, barley flour is added to the eggs.
Third5 grams of low-fat cottage cheese for each duck.

Chopped green onions, fresh beet greens, spinach

FourthBoiled meat waste

Daily chicks are fed with a weak solution of manganese at room temperature. The hatched ducklings eat only moving objects. Therefore, they need to pour cut eggs on top. They will not see the food lying motionless in the bowl.

From the third day, young chicks are fed with starting compound feed with a protein content of 20 percent.The feeding of weekly ducklings consists of wet mash with mixed fodder, herbs, cottage cheese in a meat or fish soup. Chopped corn and wheat are also added. From the tenth day, flour from the bones of boiled fish is mixed. The diet of two-week-old chicks is diluted with sunflower meal and feed yeast.

Ducklings need to be fed 6-7 times a day, at regular intervals, and potassium permanganate should be given to drink twice a week to prevent intestinal diseases.

From 20 days

The grown ducklings are fed with fresh grass. The amount of compound feed per day is increased to one hundred and ten grams per individual. Scalded nettle leaves, chopped carrots, and fish oil are added to the food of the mute. In summer, ducklings are given more water.

Advice for beginner poultry farmers: broth mash should be prepared in an amount that the chicks will eat at a time. Unfinished mixtures quickly deteriorate and attract insects. With the addition of vegetable food, ducklings need to be given crushed eggshells, shells, fine gravel, chalk for better digestion of tough stems.

From 30 days

Monthly ducklings are released to graze on the grass. Green food contains vitamins necessary for growth and weight gain at this age. One duckling requires the following amount of grains in grams:

  • wheat - 20;
  • corn - 70;
  • millet porridge - 19;
  • sunflower cake - 12.

Indoor breeding is not complete without swimming. Duckweed is useful for young birds. It is added to the swimming pool for ducklings. Mute dogs require a varied diet. Molluscs, potato peels, bread crusts, zucchini are added to food. They also continue to give yeast - 6 grams per day per individual.

Adults

Indo-ducks are fattened up to two months of age. Ducklings gain 2.5 kilograms with intensive feeding without walking. After sixty days, birds begin their first molt and lose weight quickly.

After six months, the diet does not change significantly. The basis is made up of cereals and herbs. In second place are vegetables, boiled potatoes, carrots and beets. The diet must contain cottage cheese, bone meal and solid particles - crushed shells, gravel. Salt and chalk are used as mineral additives.

Features of nutrition in different seasons

In the spring, Indo-duck women need more vitamins A, D and E. Concentrates or premixes, as well as carrots and fish oil, will help fill their deficiency. In summer, the emphasis is on green forage, which the ducks graze. Also give wheat, oats, barley, corn. During molting, ducks need sulfur, which they obtain from beans, cabbage, fish entrails and bones.

In winter, the weight of the ducks is maintained with steamed lard, cabbage, beets and carrots. Grain flour, silage, potatoes are added to cereals.

How to feed an Indoor dog for forced molt

During the change of plumage, ducks hardly rush. Natural molting lasts up to six months. To prevent the farm from being at a loss, the birds are put into a state of stress and the release of feathers is accelerated.

Molting is induced by a change in diet and lighting. On the first day, the Indo-Ducks are not fed, only given to drink. Then the birds are kept for a day without water, food and light. On the third day, they give out 50 grams of grain, water and turn on the lighting for three hours in the morning. On the fourth day, the ducklings are also illuminated for three hours, but the birds are left hungry and without water.

For the next two weeks, Indo-women are given 100 grams of grain and 4 hours of lighting per day. In the next 10 days, they are fed with compound feed in the same amount and the length of daylight hours is increased to six hours. For another 10 days, the amount of the finished mixture is increased by 30 grams, and the light period by 2 hours.

At the final stage, the amount of compound feed is gradually increased to two hundred grams and the indoor feed is transferred to food according to the usual scheme. The duration of illumination is increased twice a week by half an hour, until the daylight hours reach fourteen hours.
