One of them is a disease such as swine erysipelas, a vaccine has been developed, instructions for its use, but if you do not use it as quickly as possible, then the animal may die within 3 days. Since the disease is contagious, it can mow down all livestock.

Release form, composition and packaging of the vaccine

The drug for the control of erysipelas in pigs is made on the basis of the culture of the BP-2 strain. Outwardly, the medicine is a dry mass of white-yellow color, which dissolves well in saline. The drug Ruvak is supplied to the market in a glass container with a volume of 20 ml. It is securely sealed with rubber stoppers and additionally rolled with aluminum caps. Each bottle contains 10 to 100 doses of the vaccine. Glass vials are packed in paper boxes, 10 pieces each.

The drug is used for prophylactic or forced vaccination of pigs against erysipelas. Young piglets are vaccinated three times.

Vaccination of weakened piglets is contraindicated. It is not recommended to take antibiotics or other drugs that suppress the immune system a week before vaccination.

Transport, storage and disposal

Store the medicine against swine erysipelas should be in a darkened place with a temperature of + 4 ... 10 0С. Under no circumstances should there be access to children or pets. The drug is suitable for use within 1 year from the date of manufacture.

The vaccine should be transported only in a sealed container, packed in boxes. If the expiration date of the vaccine has expired, there is no label on the bottle for some reason, the container is unsealed, and any impurities are visible in the preparation - the product cannot be used. If vials with vaccine residues remain on the farm, they should be disinfected by boiling for 20 minutes from the moment of boiling.

When working with the drug, it is imperative to use disposable medical gloves, especially if there are abrasions or damage to the skin on the hands. After completing the work, hands should be thoroughly washed with laundry soap.
