The name of the variety justifies itself. A common plant of the Solanaceae family seems to grow a fig: these tomatoes resemble the fruits of a fig tree in taste.
The illusion of a fruity delicacy arises: pure sweetness and rich aroma. There is no trace of "tomato" sourness. Increased sugar content is observed even in those fruits that were plucked green and ripened outside the bush.
Recognizable shape
The variety has not yet been included in the State Register, its genetic line is not uniform.
The shape of the fruit is memorable, but it can be twofold. On some bushes, tomatoes are pear-shaped, slightly resembling the famous Truffle (Bulbs) variety. By the way, fig berries have a similar shape. And on some bushes, fruits grow round, strongly flattened from the bottom and from the top, as in the picture from a pack of seeds from "Gavrish". Both the one and the other type are united by a clearly expressed uniform ribbing, almost an "accordion", as if dissecting along most of the surface.
The cut shows atypical, hypertrophied multichamber fruits. Sometimes (especially with a lack of nutrition for the bush), there are small voids inside, as for stuffing, but this is rare. In general, tomatoes do not look ugly - on the contrary, tomatoes are quite even and very beautiful.
Appetizing coloring
In our minds pink fruits of tomato are strongly associated with high taste. This is the favorite "tomato" color of many vegetable growers. Even the classic red tomato is less attractive.
For a pink fig tomato, it is more appropriate to talk not so much about pink as about a rich light raspberry shade of peel and pulp. The top is sometimes green, which disappears in full biological ripeness.
Decent size
Another important characteristic is the fullness of the fruit. Average weight ranges from 300 to 400 grams. With a lower bar of 200 grams, the maximum weight is four times more. Tomatoes in 400 - 600 grams are not uncommon. Each brush carries 3 - 5 pieces of such "handsome". Up to seven kilograms of "vegetable figs" are formed on one bush per season.

Fig pink belongs to the category of medium early. Differs in extremely long-term yield of the harvest. It surpasses most other varieties on this basis. This is due to the focus on continuous growth.
Tall bushes
Plants are striking in their strength even in the circle of similar indeterminate tomatoes. Powerful stems are capable of growing up both two and three meters. The limit is only the height of the greenhouse and climatic restrictions. The description of the variety as predominantly greenhouse is quite natural. Only in the southern regions, the tomato can be planted in the open air, using tall, strong trellises. In any conditions, spreading bushes require competent shaping.

Like any vegetable crop, this variety requires adherence to certain agricultural practices to get the most out of it.
Seedling period
Since the variety is by no means late in terms of ripening, sowing too early for seedlings is not recommended. The optimal dates for the middle zone and regions similar in climate are early March.
The pick is made when the first pair of true leaves grows back, not later.
Young seedlings are prone to stretching, so additional lighting is desirable. Observance of a moderate temperature regime is necessary. Perhaps the use of the drug "Athlete".
Seedlings are transferred to the greenhouse at the stage of laying the first flower cluster. You should not be late: there is a risk of losing the first ovaries.
Formation and garter principles

Feeding
Powerful, tall, large-fruited varieties absorb a huge amount of various substances from the soil. Without the organization of enhanced nutrition, it is impossible to get the desired harvest.
In addition to preliminary dressing of the root zone, root and foliar feeding with organic and mineral fertilizers, humates and microelements is arranged 2 - 3 times a month. The use of organic matter on meaty varieties is mandatory... The soil should be moderately moist at all times, with a good layer of mulch.
Protection
Compared to similar varieties - non-hybrid, greenhouse, sweet-fruited, - Pink figs are much less infected with fungal diseases. It is possible to grow it without treating the bushes with pesticides. But in the event of an attack by dangerous insects (like the greenhouse whitefly), the struggle for the harvest will become a necessity.
