Systemic herbicides are used to clear the fields from weeds and prepare crops for sowing. They suppress not only weeds, but also shrubs. The continuous action preparations include the herbicide "Helios", the instructions for use of which must be studied before use. Active ingredients and form of the drug "Helios"

The main component in the Helios herbicide is the organophosphorus compound glyphosate. Its content in a chemical agent is 360 grams per liter of the drug. The pesticide is produced in the form of an aqueous solution packaged in 20 liter canisters.

The herbicide "Helios" is indispensable for the preparation of fallows and fields for planting potatoes, sowing melons, grains, ornamental, oilseeds. Principle of operation

In weeds, after 2-5 days, signs of chlorosis appear - the leaves turn pale, and after 2-3 weeks the perennial weeds die completely, including the root. The advantages of the herbicide Helios include:

• the ability to destroy not only the aerial part of unwanted plants, but also their roots;
• reducing the number of necessary mechanical treatments to combat weeds;
• lack of pesticide activity in the soil, which creates safety for future crops;
• the drug adheres well to the leaves, it is difficult to evaporate and flows down from the plants, due to which its losses are reduced to zero;
• during preparation of the working solution, a large amount of foam does not form.

How to prepare a working substance

Before preparing a solution for treatment, check the serviceability of the sprayer, the integrity of the tubes and the possible pressure of the liquid with clean water. After that, the tank is filled to 50% with water, stirring is turned on and the required amount of herbicide is poured in. After 20 minutes, add water to full volume. Working fluid consumption is 100-200 liters per hectare.

If the weeds are slightly sensitive to the herbicide, its effect is enhanced by other preparations.

It is not worth pouring dirty water into the tank, since clay particles are able to bind active components and reduce the effect of them.

Hard water can cause sludge to form.

Method and time of processing, substance consumption

Spraying of vegetative weeds is carried out two weeks before tillage. This requires dry, calm weather with an air temperature of +12 ⁰С to +25 С. If rainfall is predicted, the work should be completed 6 hours before rain. Weeds are treated once. In this case, the working fluid is consumed in the amount of 100-200 liters per hectare. The concentration of the solution depends on the purpose:

• clearing fallows and fields for sowing from annual and dicotyledonous weeds - 2-4 liters per hectare;
• protection of vapors and arable land from perennial weeds - 4-6 liters per hectare;
• release of fallows and fields for sowing from malicious weed perennials - 6-8 liters per hectare.

Safety at work

When treating with the Helios herbicide, you must remember about safety measures:

• do not allow persons under 18 years of age, patients with contraindications, pregnant and lactating women to work with pesticides;
• use special protective equipment - clothes, shoes, gloves, glasses, respirator;
• at the end of work, soak clothes in warm water;
• do not eat, drink or smoke until the end of spraying;
• prepare the working solution in a special container;
• notify apiary owners about the upcoming processing;
• exclude the use of the herbicide "Helios" near reservoirs and sources of drinking water;
• have a first-aid kit with medicines available;
• provide first aid to the victim if the drug gets into the eyes, respiratory tract or inside.

Toxicity and compatibility

The herbicide "Helios" belongs to the third class of danger to humans and bees. Remember:

1. Spraying should be carried out in the morning or evening before heavy dew falls.
2. If the wind is more than 4 m / s, work should be canceled.
3. It is recommended to limit the years of bees to at least 3 hours.
4. Do not use pesticide upwind of residential buildings.

The date on which the pesticide was produced should be indicated on the label. Subject to these conditions, the drug can be stored for 3 years from the date of manufacture.
