Instructions for use of the fungicide Teldor, compatibility and analogues
Fungal diseases often affect plants even if garden crops are cared for according to established rules. In such circumstances, it is recommended to use Teldor, or a fungicide, the instructions for use of which indicate that this agent is most effective against white and gray rot. This drug can also be used to prevent infection.

Composition, form of release and purpose of the fungicide Teldor
Teldor is based on the active ingredient fenhexamide, which destroys various types of fungal infections. This is due to the fact that this component prevents the development of styrene. Each kilogram of Teldor contains at least 500 grams of fenhexamide.
This remedy is used mainly in cases where the treatment of the plant with other fungicides has not been successful.
Teldor is available in the form of water-soluble granules, packaged in 1.5 or kilogram bags. The agent is used for local suppression of the development of fungal pathologies in plants.
How does the remedy work?
As noted, fenhexamide, on which the fungicide is based, inhibits the synthesis of styrene, on which the nutrition and development of cells of fungal infection depends. This is due to the fact that this substance has a depressing effect on C-3 reductase. The latter is part of the cells pathogenic for the plant. This effect prevents the development of fungal mycelium.
In addition, the composition of the drug includes substances that form a film on the surface of the plant. Such protection prevents the penetration of pathogenic microflora into the structure of the plant for 1-2 weeks.
Advantages over analogues
In comparison with other means of fighting against fungal diseases, Teldor has the following advantages:
- suppresses the activity of pathogens even in cases where other fungicides have not helped;
- provides long-term protection against fungal infection;
- within three hours after spraying, the process of suppression of the functions of pathogens begins;
- does not have a negative impact on the environment;
- allowed to be used simultaneously with other fungicides.
Also, Teldor is straightforward to use. To process the plant, it is enough to dilute the product in water and spray the affected culture.
Consumption rates for different crops
When using Teldor, the following consumption rates of the drug must be observed:
- For grapes and cherries. It is necessary to dilute 10 grams of the product in 10 liters of water. Plants should be sprayed 4 times per season, but no later than 15 days before harvest.
- For strawberries. You need to take 8 grams of Teldor and dilute in 5 liters of water. The plant is sprayed 1 time per season, no later than 10 days before picking berries.
- For stone fruit trees. Take 8 grams of the product and dilute it in 10 liters of water. Trees are sprayed 1 time per season and no later than 20 days before harvest.
The given consumption rates are calculated taking into account the processing of plants on an area of one hundred square meters.
Working solution preparation rules
To prepare the solution, it is necessary to fill the prepared container halfway. Then add the fungicide to warm water, following the above norms, and mix thoroughly. After that, you can add the rest of the liquid and start processing the plants.
You can spray crops only within three hours after preparing the solution. It is recommended to carry out work on a clear day.
Instructions for the use of the fungicide
Spraying plants with Teldor does not cause significant difficulties. It is recommended to process crops slowly, trying to apply the solution to the affected leaves and branches. But to increase the effectiveness of the drug, the agent must be sprayed on the entire plant.
Teldor is recommended for processing:
- cabbage;
- tomatoes;
- peach;
- grapes;
- currants;
- strawberries;
- ornamental plants;
- eggplant.
Teldor is effective as a prophylactic agent against the following infections:
- wet, gray and white rot;
- anthracnose;
- brown spot;
- powdery mildew;
- coccomycosis;
- scab.
When processing, it is not recommended to apply a lot of solution to one area. If the agent runs down the trunk or leaves, it will reduce the effectiveness of the fungicide. Teldor can be cast up to four times per season. The treatment should be carried out no more often than every 10-15 days, regardless of the degree of damage to the plant by the fungus.
When using Teldor to treat crops, it should be remembered that this drug was created to prevent infection. Fungicide is most effective only at the beginning of the disease. Therefore, it is recommended to take other drugs to treat affected plants.
Precautions for use
When using a fungicide to prevent diseases and treat plants, you will have to observe the following precautions:
- do not process crops in windy weather (wind speed should not exceed 7 m / s);
- before each procedure, you should wear glasses, gloves, moisture-resistant clothing and other personal protective equipment;
- if the solution is swallowed, you must drink the appropriate amount of activated carbon or other sorbent.
In case of contact of the fungicide with mucous membranes, the latter must be rinsed with water. If necessary, then an antihistamine should be taken to prevent the development of an allergic reaction. If the solution gets on the skin, then the contact point should also be rinsed under water, and then treated with a fat cream.
Drug toxicity
Teldor's active substance belongs to the third class of toxicity. This means that the drug does not harm the body of people or animals, but it can provoke intoxication and a number of other negative consequences.
This tool, despite this feature, not only suppresses the activity of the fungal microflora, but also increases the shelf life of the fruits of the treated plants.
Compatibility with other products
Teldor can be used simultaneously with other fungicides and insecticides. This is partly due to the fact that this drug was created to prevent fungal infection, and not to cure the plant. However, before the first use Teldor is recommended to be tested for compatibility with other products.
How to store it correctly?
The prepared solution should be used within three hours. During this time, the effectiveness of the drug decreases. The packaging of Teldor granules must be stored closed in a dark and dry place, away from pets and children.
If insects are found in the mixture, the agent must be disposed of properly. The last recommendation is due to the fact that contact with certain organisms can change the properties of the drug. Store Teldor at 35 degrees. Subject to the above recommendations, the shelf life of the drug is 36 months. At the end of this period, the product must also be disposed of.
Fungicide analogs
The following fungicides can be purchased instead of Teldor for plant treatment:
- Rovral. The drug is mainly used for processing vegetables and sunflowers.
- Bayleton. Differs in a wide spectrum of action and is used for the prevention of various diseases.
- Euparen. Recommended for the treatment of plants seriously affected by fungal infection.
- Ronilan. Used for processing grape vines.
- Sumileks. The tool is recommended for the treatment of plants from phytopathogenic fungi.
- Trichodermin. Differs in increased efficiency and is also used to prevent infection.
- Tecto. An effective broad-spectrum drug.
In order to prevent infection with powdery mildew and mites, Cumulus and Tiovit are used.
