Beautiful, bright lingonberries ripen at the end of August, and they can be harvested until November. In addition to a large amount of vitamins and minerals, lingonberries contain a natural preservative - benzoic acid, thanks to which the berries can be stored for a long time without any processing. Since lingonberries are not eaten fresh, it is better to prepare them for the winter, for example, freeze them, make jam or lingonberry juice according to one of the various recipes.

  • 3 liters of filtered water;

  1. You will need a piece of gauze or a fine sieve. Place clean berries there, put a glass or enamel container under the bottom. Crush in a puree with a wooden mortar, carefully squeeze the lingonberry mass so that it releases all the juice.

  4. Add honey to a saucepan, stir. When the mass has cooled to room temperature, strain it, add lingonberry juice to the liquid.

  2. Boil water, pour boiling water over the berries, you can several times.

  2. Sugar is a natural preservative. It is better to prepare a sweet drink and dilute it with water, than it will start to deteriorate even before opening.
  3. Since it is undesirable to cook berry fruit drinks for a long time, a maximum of 5 minutes, it is better to pasteurize the finished rolled jars.

To do this, you need to put them in a basin or pan with a wide bottom and pour water, not reaching 3-4 cm to the top of the cans. Turn on the fire and bring the jars to a near boil. Pasteurize the cans for 8-10 minutes, then carefully remove them, turn them upside down, wrap them in a blanket and leave to cool.
